Deep Learning

A subset of machine learning using artificial neural networks with multiple layers to learn hierarchical representations of data.

In more detail

Deep Learning uses neural networks with many hidden layers (hence "deep") to automatically discover multiple levels of representation needed for detection or classification. It excels at processing unstructured data like images, audio, and text. Deep learning powers modern applications like image recognition, language models, and generative AI.

Examples

  • Image classification (identifying objects in photos)
  • Machine translation (Google Translate)
  • Speech recognition (voice assistants)
  • Large Language Models (ChatGPT)
